Knockholt Carnival

Every two years, the village of Knockholt adorns itself with bunting and celebrates Carnival.  Houses are decorated, children dress up, floats and classic cars and horses and bands parade around the roads, and the recreation ground is converted to the fabulous Carnival Field, with arena shows, fairground stalls, and arts and crafts.  Visitors come from not only from Knockholt and the surrounding villages, but from far and wide. It is fantastic!

Every year has a theme.  In 2018 villagers took on “All the World’s a Stage”, with depictions of the Globe, the Wizard of Oz, and a Brazilian Samba Band indicating the variety of entries.  The routines performed by Bugsy Malone’s gang (also known as St Katherine’s School) were a sight to behold!

We are collecting photos and reports from previous carnivals on this website – if you have anything to share please do contact us!
