The judging of the Christmas House Decorating competition entries took place last night, which was thankfully dry. The standard and diversity of the entries was excellent, and showed that the residents of Knockholt wanted to bring some festive cheer to our village. We were impressed by the ingenuity of some of the entries, and the final scores were very close. It’s a shame that some houses did not enter the competition!
The winning entry came from Cobby House, Pound Lane. As you can see there was a lot of work put in to this, with a variety of lights, projections, and models!
We were pleased to present our prize to the winner!
It is not too late to follow our Christmas lights trail – you can download a copy of the map below, and please consider making a donation to our charities.
We are all really impressed by the decorations and lights we’ve seen around the village. Our judges are right now travelling around to view them and see which they like the best, and we’ll announce the winner soon!
But in the meantime, don’t let the judges have all the fun! You can download a map of the entries here, and go and look for yourself.
There’s no charge for this map, but please consider making a donation towards our local charities – you can do this using the form below.
We were all set to judge our Christmas decoration competition this evening, but the weather had other plans! To avoid our judges needing to sail around Knockholt on a boat, we will be delaying the judging until tomorrow. Make sure you turn on your lights by 5pm!
Yes, you probably do already! But with travel restrictions and our ability to meet others curtailed by COVID, we want to see Knockholt shine to brighten everyone’s mood. So break out the baubles, untangle the tinsel, and look for your lights, because we’re going to be awarding Knockholt’s best-dressed house a special prize!
Enter our competition and you could win a home-made Christmas cake, all ready for you to share with your gues … er, to eat it all yourself!
