Yes, you probably do already! But with travel restrictions and our ability to meet others curtailed by COVID, we want to see Knockholt shine to brighten everyone’s mood. So break out the baubles, untangle the tinsel, and look for your lights, because we’re going to be awarding Knockholt’s best-dressed house a special prize!

Unfortunately the new government guidelines, prohibiting socialising with more than six people, means that our proposed Bake Off in November will not be able to go ahead. We already have plans for next Spring, so don’t put your sieves and scales into storage just yet!

After having to cancel our events so far this year, we are delighted to announce that we plan to organise a socially-distanced Festive Bake-Off at the Village Centre in November, having postponed the usual spring event. This will be dependent on government guidelines and further announcements will be posted here and on Knockholt Grapevine.
We have also made the decision to cancel our annual fireworks display this year. This is due to the financial loss made last year, as a result of the poor turn out, which has been exacerbated by the postponement of the carnival. We hope to return to a good programme of events next year, with a rescheduled carnival on Saturday 10 July.
Twelve teams from around Knockholt and Halstead joined us on Leap Day – 29 February – for a quiz night. The village centre was buzzing, and we raised just over £800 for our charities – thanks to everyone who came and took part!
The winners of the quiz were Bromley Lions, with a final score of 79 – just beating iCare in a tie-break. Third place went to the Village Idiots …

After six years of our old logo, we thought it was time for a change! Over the next few weeks we will be moving everything over to our bright new colours, arranged to represent the bunting that we use at all our events. Keep an eye out for our new logo around the village!
We will be holding our AGM on Thursday 12 March 2020 in the Three Horseshoes, starting at 8pm. Please do come along to find out about what we’ve been doing over the past year, and our plans for the next!
At the end of this month we will be running a quiz night in the Village Centre – teams of six will compete to show they are the trivia champions of Knockholt!
The quiz will be held on 29 February, starting at 7:30. Tables are filling up fast, so if you want to be sure of a place make sure you email chair@knockholtcarnival.org.uk to reserve – and if you don’t have a team yourself, feel free to ask to be put in a spare place!
Everything all all set up and ready for a fantastic evening of oohs and aahs! We are looking forward to an amazing display and hope that you’ll remember to wear your wellies – we’re afraid stilettos may be best left at home tonight!

Unfortunately we have had to take the decision to cancel this year’s beer festival. We have suffered from a lack of volunteers and time to dedicate to the event, and were unsure we would be able to raise enough money for charities to make the event worthwhile. We are planning to bring it back next year, bigger and better, though – so get saving your beer money!
